Gracie York

Guild Founder & Head Editor

I read constantly growing up, whether I was staying up late or walking across the street. Well-loved copies of books by Tamora Pierce, Dianna Wynne Jones, and Patricia C. Wrede are all familiar favorites I’ve read dozens of times. Now older and wiser, I read less often when I’m crossing the street. My library is still expanding, though, with books by new favorites such as K.M. Shea and Will Wight.

I do all levels of editing that the Guild offers (developmental, copyediting, and proofreading). I also work with traditional publishers, editing material ranging from sci-fi/fantasy books for Baen, to medical textbooks, to homeschool curriculum.

In my past lives, I taught English in Korea, nannied, answered phones for a credit union, and directed operations for a local nonprofit. At the moment, I'm likely gardening or getting my husband to play another round of Citadels.
